I've always been interested in the nuances and complexities of femininity-- of girlish charm and the kind of vulnerability that is packaged with that. I'm extremely drawn to commanding presences who are raw yet exude faint glimmer of tenderness. It's so rare to come strong figurehead women who expose themselves emotionally. That being said, I really admire women who are able to have power without compromising the validity of their emotions and I try to do the same.
This photo essay is a series of self portraits that explores the sort of soft power that femininity encompasses and is also heavily influenced by French pop girl singers from the sixties.
